With this new service, we have also made some changes to the process of how we handle service requests for wireless service (and now satellite service).

Instead of schedualing a survey request where our staff comes to see if you can get wireless service, which required making at least two trips out to each customer site; we will now simply schedual your installation date. When our installer is on site, he will be prepared to install wireless service if your location qualifies. If your location does not qualify for wireless service, then satellite service can be installed, unless the view to the satellite is obscured.

While we have always striven to complete wireless service requests as quickly as possible, the old system was prone to delays in scheduling. Our new system will present a more streamlined approach to completing your service request, enabling us to deliver high speed Internet access to your location as quickly as possible. 

We're changing our name!

Terra World Communications, LLC is now Valnet, LLC - Full press release

For many years we've dealt with the difficulty of communicating "Terra World" to customers. It's a long domain name - terraworld.net, and can sometimes be difficult to spell or to verbally tell people when exchanging email addresses.

We're pleased to bring our new name and domain name in to service - Valnet, LLC is found at valnet.net.

This change impacts several things that our customers should be aware of, but first I want to assure you that:

Our prices will remain the same.
Our support will remain the same.
Our staff will remain the same.
Our phone number will remain the same
You can continue to use existing terraworld.net email addresses forever.

What does change?

Make payments to Valnet, LLC.
Our website will now be http://home.valnet.net
All new email accounts will be @valnet.net

We will be phasing in the new domain name on various services over the next week. As soon as we have completed the process of issuing our new SSL certificate, all SSL services will be available under valnet.net - services such as accounting and webmail. Update 2008-09-25: Yesterday afternoon we completed updating our SSL certificates. All SSL services are now available under the new domain name.
